My Ultimate Purpose ๐
Years ago I became completely obsessed with a YouTuber who talked about systems. Systems for work, for money, for living well. Most of it was useful. But one idea stopped me cold.
He shared a document he called "My Ultimate Purpose."
It's not a vision board or a to-do list. It's a living document filled with his most intimate desires for his life, now and in the future. When he described it I almost cried. I'm not sure I can fully explain why. I think it was the honesty of it. The idea that someone had actually sat down and written out, in plain language, what they wanted their life to mean.
I went home and wrote my own.
I'm still rewriting it. I add things, delete things, refine it as I change. It's deeply personal,ย so personal I rarely share it. But I read it to myself at least once a week because life is noisy and focusing isn't always easy.
This document reminds me how I want to live, who I'm becoming, and what actually matters when everything else is competing for my attention. It pulls me back when I drift. It reorients me when I feel scattered.
It's not about achieving everything in it. It's about remembering what I'm aiming for.ย
Writing it forced me to get honest about what I value, what I believe, what kind of life feels meaningful to me. That honesty alone was worth it.
I'll share a glimpse of my own someday. Not as a blueprint. Just as an invitation to show what's possible.
But first, do you have one?ย
